I chose to include a picture of a horse, the Korean flag, a camera lens, and a camera in the photo because they are all important parts of my identity. The camera lens and the camera express my passion for photography, which is an important way of capturing and sharing my perspective with the world. I incorporated a camera lens as part of my eyes to show that a photograph can also help us understand how we interpret and view our world. Additionally, the picture of the horse depicts my dedication as a horse advocate for the welfare of horses, as well as my passion for show jumping. Ultimately, I discovered a Korean flag to represent my heritage and cultural identity.
One difficulty I faced in creating this badge was finding a way to condense all the meaningful items that represent me into a single frame. I did not want to paste all the images into one frame using Photoshop, and I wanted to share a story of my interest in a creative way.
